Using our own dark fired corn in the mash bill, we age our Kentucky Dark Fired Whiskey in our used bourbon barrels. The result is a spirit that is a little lighter than bourbon, but includes all of the campfire and barbecue notes provided by the smoked corn. The residual bourbon in the used barrels also kicks up the proof a few points, so you’ll typically find these batches ranging from 110 – 120 proof (55 – 60% ABV).
